How to use the app

Everything you need to find the right name, step by step.

Getting started

Download the app
Get Albanian Baby Names free on the App Store. The first time you open it, connect to the internet once so the name list can download. After that it works offline.

Swipe through names
Each card shows one name and its meaning. Swipe right to like a name and swipe left to pass. Pink names are for girls, blue names are for boys.

See the details
Tap Info at the bottom of a card to see the full meaning, origin, where the name is most used and its gender. Tap Back to return.

Review your favorites
Tap I Like at the top to see every name you liked. You can search the list, look at the names you passed on, and use Share Likes to send your list to your partner or family.

Boy, girl or both
In Settings → Change Gender, choose Boy, Girl or Surprise (all names).

Try it with your last name
In Settings → Change Last Name, enter your surname and every card will show the first name together with it, so you can hear how they sound side by side.

Use filters
Settings → Filters lets you narrow the list by first letter, nationality and name length, sort A → Z or Z → A, or shuffle into a new random order. Some filters are part of Premium.

Start over
Swiped past a good name? Settings → Clear Swipe History brings liked or passed names back into your feed.

Change the language
Settings → Language Switch changes the app language.

Suggest a missing name
Open Settings → Add Names in the app, or use the form on this website. Enter the name, its gender and your email. Our team reviews every suggestion, and approved names appear in the app.

Send feedback
Found a mistake in a meaning, or have an idea? Use Settings → Feedback. We read every message.

What Premium adds
The app is free and shows a short ad every few cards. Settings → Unlock All Premium Features is a one-time purchase that removes ads and unlocks alphabetical filtering, sorting, nationality filters and shuffle.
